Sweet corn

A tender, young version of sweet corn that is especially popular in Oriental style dishes.

You can eat the whole as it usually measures no more than 10 cm long. Choose firm cobs of corn with a pale yellow colour.

Baby corn can be stir-fried or steamed. To stir fry, heat 1 tbsp butter  in a frying pan or wok and cook for 3-4 minutes or until just cooked. To steam, place the prepared corn in a steamer and cook for 3-4 minutes

It's generally believed that corn was domesticated from its wild relative, teosinte, some 6,000 to 9,000 years ago in Mexico.

Your dog will like Sweet Corn, but like most vegetables the fibre content is broken down by cooking. Boil Sweet Corn until soft and tender, but only give a small amount with other vegetables and meat.
