Vitamins D

This vitamin is vital for strong bones, teeth, immunity and protection from degenerative diseases.

Although it is the only vitamin that the body can manufacture on its own, its ability to do so diminishes with age.

Vitamin D is called the ?sunlight vitamin? because the body produces it when exposed to the sun?s rays.

It is not surprising then that the body?s natural levels are minimal during the darker winter months. The same is true in people living in darker, generally more northern regions.

It supports bone and teeth health by promoting absorption and movement of Calcium in the body. Without enough calcium supplies the body starts to eat away at calcium already stored in bones and teeth. (In time, this may even lead to osteoporosis).
